New York - Sirius Satellite Radio, a provider of subscription radio programming with over 4 million subscribers, announced on Monday that it Mitsubishi will offer Sirius as a standard feature or factory option on four models this fall, and throughout the entire 2008 Mitsubishi model line next year. New York-based Sirius also has deals with automakers BMW, Daimler Chrysler, Ford, Kia and Volkswagen.

LG Launches U400 Phone with DJ Scratch Scroll Wheel in U.K

London - Korean consumer electronics firm LG has introduced a new handset model in the U.K., which features an external scroll wheel that can be used to "scratch" tracks like a DJ does on a turntable. Offered through U.K. wireless carrier 3, the LG U400 allows users to scratch tracks loaded onto the phone, and also add any of 14 percussion sound effects by pressing other buttons on the phone. The company said it partnered with DMC to pre-load ten exclusive "scratch ringtones" on the handset.

SingShot Launches Online Karaoke Community

San Francisco - SingShot, a start-up digital music company founded by former RealNetworks employees who worked on the Rhapsody music service, on Monday announced the launch of their American Idol-style online karaoke community. The site lets users record their own karaoke versions of thousands of available songs and post them online; other users can then rate and comment on their recordings. SingShot performances can also be embedded into users' personal blogs and MySpace pages, and shared via e-mail. A two-week free trial of the service is available, after which time SingShot is available for between $4.95 and $9.95 per month, depending on the subscription plan.

Burbank, Calif. - CenterStaging, a developer of digital video and music entertainment content, announced on Monday that its Rehearsals.com will provide high-definition digital production for NBC's new "battle of the bands" reality series, "StarTomorrow." The company will provide weekly streaming broadcasts of the series, as well as the ability for viewers to vote for their favorite group, which will win a development and distribution deal with Warner Music Group.

HD Digital Radio Alliance Details $200 Million Ad Campaign

Orlando, Fla. - The HD Digital Radio Alliance on Monday provided details on a $200 million ad campaign for the emerging technology that will launch in 50 U.S. radio markets. The "Discover It!" campaign will entice consumers to purchase HD digital radios, which can pick up the digital "stations between the stations" that radio stations broadcasting an HD Radio signal provide. The group also said that Amazon.com has been added to its roster of retailers selling HD radio receivers, joining RadioShack, Tweeter and Crutchfield. Members of the HD Digital Radio Alliance include radio station owners ABC Radio, CBS Radio, Citadel, Clear Channel, Cumulus, Emmis, Entercom and Greater Media.

Lauderdale, Fla. - The Tube Media Corp., which recently launched a new 24-hour music television network, announced on Monday that it has named Pat LaPlatney as CEO and Shane Coppola as chairman of the board. Previously, LaPlatney was an executive vice president at radio and TV programming provider Westwood One; Coppola was previously president and CEO of Westwood One. The Tube's network is currently available on select free over-the-air digital systems and cable TV systems from Tribune, Sinclair and Raycom.

Developed by Carlsbad, Calif.-based Sandcastle Studios, the game combines elements of a fantasy baseball game with a hold-and-draw card game, and can be played in five to ten minutes.
