New York - U.S. authorities have arrested an executive from another overseas online gambling company, this time targeting the chairman of U.K.-based Sportingbet, Peter Dicks, Reuters reported. Dicks was arrested in New York on Thursday and charged with using a computer to gamble, as part of an investigation by authorities in Louisiana.

Washington - The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced this week that social networking site Xanga.com will pay the largest civil penalty levied thus far -- $1 million -- for allegedly violating the Children's Online Privacy Act. The company is alleged to have allowed some 1.7 million accounts over the past five years to be created by persons whose stated age was younger than 13.

On Tuesday, Facebook introduced a feature called "News Feed" that automatically notified all of a member's friends each time new pictures were added, blog comments posted -- even when a user's relationship status changed.
