Virtual worlds for children and teens have been growing in popularity recently: the market share of visits to a group of seven children's and teens' virtual worlds (sites shown below) has grown by 68% in the past year. (week ending 4/28/07 vs. week ending 4/29/06). Runescape is by far the #1 site, with 44% of visits to the category.

Chicago - Independent record label Touch & Go plans to launch its own digital music store, which will sell unprotected MP3 downloads when it launches in June, Billboard reported. Tracks from artists including !!!, CocoRosie, Slint and Ted Leo and the Pharmacists will be sold for the standard 99 cents per song and $9.99 per album. The store will also be the only online retailer to carry downloads from legendary musician and producer Steve Albini's bands Big Black, Rapeman and Shellac. The NYRA tapped Sona Mobile to develop a Web-based wagering platform that will offer real-time track information and a means to securely wager online.
