David Letterman got the Paris Hilton Interview we were all waiting forOn the Late Show last Friday, David Letterman conducted the post-jail Paris Hilton interview that Larry King couldn't muster.  It was exactly what we had waited for since her release.  He began with a series of sarcastic questions: “Good to be back in New York?” and “Which do you prefer, New York City or Los Angeles?” She answers: “I like both.  I like the weather in LA better, but I love New York.” She’s comfortable and enjoying the attention.  But you can sense the time bomb.  It’s ticking.  Letterman wants to drop the hammer.

Mark Cuban thinks the end is near for his Dancing with the Stars runWow. Talk about a range of emotions and a humbling experience.  I was suprised at how I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be during the day on Tuesday. I got a good night's sleep. I was excited, but not overwhelmed. I think a lot of it had to do with all of the guys hanging out together during the day telling jokes.

Fox Business Network Website to Launch Oct. 1

New York - Fox Business Network (FBN), the soon-to-launch financial TV network from Rupert Murdoch's News Corp., on Friday announced that it will launch a "microsite" on October 1st at 12am, 15 days prior to network's debut. The site will provide a glimpse into FBN's anchors and reporters and can be accessed at the link below.

Jaman Adds International, Independent Films to Download Service

San Mateo, Calif. - Jaman.com, an online movie download service that features high-definition, international and independent films, announced on Friday that it will offer new films in the fall through distribution deals with Dreamachine, Trust Film, Fortissimo and Fortune Star. The new additions include films by directors such as Bernardo Bertolucci, Wim Wenders, David Cronenberg, Woody Allen and Lars von Trier.

Armani Opens Virtual Store in "Second Life"

Milan - Fashion designer Giorgio Armani this week opened a virtual store to sell designer clothes for avatars within the virtual world "Second Life." In addition to virtual items, the Armani store in Second Life will feature links to buy real-world items at EmporioArmani.com. The grand opening of the store was attended by a Giorgio Armani avatar. "Finally, I can really be in two places at once," Armani said in a statement.

MLB.com Debuts Postseason Package for Foreign Markets

New York - Major League Baseball's MLB.com this week launched its post-season live and on-demand video subscription service for users residing outside of the U.S., Canada, South Korea and Japan. The MLB.com Postseason Package, available for $14.95, will include MLB.TV broadcasts of every out-of-market game for the remainder of the season, in addition to every postseason game, including the World Series.

Ecast Digital Jukeboxes Preview Tracks From Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes

New York - Ecast, a maker of Internet-connected digital jukeboxes for bars and restaurants, said this week that it will exclusively offer pre-release tracks from new albums from Faith Hill and LeAnn Rimes on its network of 10,000 jukeboxes. The company partnered with Warner Bros. Records and Curb Records, respectively, on the promotions.

EA Details Soundtrack, Junkie XL Score for "Need for Speed ProStreet"

Redwood City, Calif. - Electronic Arts said on Friday that its soundtrack for the game "Need for Speed ProStreet" will feature 35 songs from a range of artists including Bloc Party, Datarock, Peaches and MSTRKRFT, along with an original score by Junkie XL. The game will be released on Nov. 14 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Wii, Nintendo DS and PC, along with a mobile version.

Warner Bros., Abu Dhabi Venture to Produce Films, Games

New York - Warner Bros. Entertainment said this week that, along with its partners, it will invest over $1 billion in a joint venture with partners Aldar Properties and Abu Dhabi Media, which will develop films, video games, a theme park and other properties in Abu Dhabi.

Apple's Warning Genuine: Unlocked iPhones Disabled With Update

Cupertino, Calif. - Confirming a warning issued by Apple in a press release earlier this week, many owners of iPhones who had installed software meant to unlock the device for use on networks other than AT&T found their phones no longer worked after installing an iPhone software update from Apple.
