New York - The 29 TV stations owned by CBS (NYSE: CBS) on Monday announced the launch of the CBS Local Ad Network, a partnership between the stations and local bloggers and social media websites. CBS-owned stations will now syndicate local news widgets to a variety of local online media outlets that include a companion banner ad, and share a portion of the ad revenue generated with the syndication partners. San Francisco - Yahoo's (NASD: YHOO) Flickr photo-sharing service intends to branch out into video with the beta launch of a new Flickr video service next month, CNET News.com reported. The company told CNET that Flickr Video will not replace Yahoo Video, and that the service is not meant to compete with YouTube. Seoul, South Korea - Korean peer-to-peer music service Soribada says it has obtained government approval to launch a legal, subscription-based P2P service, Billboard reports. The company claims it has obtained licenses from local labels, and told Billboard it has a deal with Universal Music and expects to close additional pacts soon with the other majors. Launched in 2000, Soribada's user base swelled to 15 million before lawsuits forced a change in strategy. The service now counts 700,000 subscribers and saw sales of $29 million last year. Austin - Surrge launched its new social distribution network and music community at the SXSW festival over the weekend, which promises to reward fans who tell friends and others about their favorite artists' songs by giving them 10% or more of the sale price of songs resulting from their recommendations.
