Reston, Va. - Microblogging service Twitter ranked
as the top-gaining web property in March, drawing 9.3 million unique visitors,
more than twice as many as the prior month, according to new figures from Internet
audience measurement firm comScore. Following several months of double-digit
growth, traffic to Twitter.com spiked 131% in the month, fueled in part by
celebrity "tweeters" and substantial mainstream media attention.

site that aims to offer behind-the-scenes looks into the creation of movies
from the perspective of the creators themselves. The site launches with 40
interviews from Hollywood players including

me on film sets, I am always reminded how intriguing and lucky it is to
experience filming up close," said Portman. "At MakingOf our goal is

Fantasy" franchise has now sold over 85 million units to date,
GamesIndustry.biz reports. The company also revealed sales to date for other
franchises -- including those picked up via its acquisition of Eidos, such as
"Dragon Quest" (47 million); "Kingdom Hearts" (12 million);
"Tomb Raider" (30 million); and "Hitman" (8 million).

- Looking to expand beyond its 3D concert films, Disney (NYSE: DIS) announced on Thursday
that its ESPN Films unit will produce a sports-themed 3D film, "X Games 3D
the Movie." The feature-length film will receive a limited one-week

including Shaun White and Travis Pastrana.

Pirate Bay to a year in prison has connections with several pro-copyright
groups, defense lawyers have called for a mistrial, TorrentFreak reports. Judge
Tomas Norstrom sits on the board of the Swedish Association for the Protection
of Industrial Property, and is a member of the Swedish Association of Copyright
-- whose membership also includes Henrik Ponten, of the Swedish Anti-Piracy
Bureau; movie industry lawyer Monique Wadsted; and Peter Danowsky, of the
record label trade group IFPI.
