YouTube Ups Video Upload Size Limit From 1GB to 2GB

San Bruno, Calif. - Google's (NASD: GOOG) YouTube has increased the maximum size of video file that may be uploaded from 1GB to 2GB, keeping the maximum length of videos at 10 minutes, Mashable reported. The move should make it easier for publishers of HD video to post their content to the site.

Los Angeles - Sony's (NYSE: SNE) Columbia Pictures has secured rights to develop a movie based n developer Naughty Dog's "Uncharted" video game, VentureBeat reported. The Tomb Raider-like game is being adapted for the screen by Kyle Ward ("Kane & Lynch," "Hitman 2"), and produced by Avi Arad, Charles Roven and Alex Gartner.

Canada's Zip.ca Movie Rental Service Adds Roxio CinemaNow

Novato, Calif. - Sonic Solutions (NASD: SNIC) said on Friday that it has partnered with Canadian online video rental service Zip.ca, to make its Roxio CinemaNow download service available to Zip.ca subscribers. Zip.ca will offer movies and TV episodes that can be downloaded and watched on PCs; the service is also embedded on some consumer electronics.

San Francisco - Apple (NASD: AAPL) has been sued for breach of contract and consumer fraud by two Illinois residents, who claim the company misled them by marketing its gift cards for the iTunes Store as redeemable for 99-cent songs, when in fact some songs now cost $1.29 each, CNET News.com reported.
