Los Angeles - German video game developer 10tacle Studios has declared insolvency, GameDaily reports, a move that sent shares of the company tumbling more than 73% on the Frankfurt stock exchange. The company, which published titles such as the "GT" racing series, "Panzer Tactics" and "Totems," did not indicate whether it would attempt a restructuring. 10tacle had also partnered with Viacom's German unit to develop and launch an MTV-branded multi-user 3D online world. tags: Games | 10TACLE Studios |

Officials from German producer 10tacle Studios have announced a “strategic partnership” with British developer Climax, which will see the German company acquiring a 29 percent stake in Climax Group ordinary shares. The new partnership will see the two companies jointly develop computer and video games in “specific genres”. 10tacle Studios, which also operates its own mobile phone division, is best known for producing PC titles such as Codename: Panzers and SimBin’s GTR series. The company has around 400 employees in Europe and Asia, with a turnover in 2006 of €29 million ($40.1m). Darmstadt, Germany - Media conglomerate Viacom's German unit announced that it has partnered with 10TACLE Studios, to develop and launch a multi-user 3D online world based on the MTV brand in 2008. The virtual world will give users access to MTV media content, as well as a large number of online games. "The joint production and marketing of online games relating to the MTV brand world for the multi-user 3D online world will enable us to transfer the lifestyle and emotionality conveyed by the MTV brand to the online community," said 10TACLE CEO Michele Pes. |
