1Cast Debuts Video News Clip Service; Integrates with Boxee

Kirkland, Wash. - Personalized video service 1Cast on Wednesday commercially launched its platform, which pushes customized video news clips to users based on their interests. The company said that it pushed more than 3.2 million video clips monthly to its beta users, from partners including the BBC, CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox, Reuters and Dow Jones. 1Cast also announced a deal with Boxee, to extend its service to the TV media center platform.

Kirkland, Wash. - 1Cast, the provider of a video news aggregation service for smartphones and the Web, said on Wednesday that it has added programming from Al Jazeera English and Fox Business Network to its service. 1Cast also offers up-to-the-minute video clips from the Associated Press, BBC, Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC and All Things D.

Mobile News Video News Service 1Cast Adds Content Partners

Kirkland, Wash. - 1Cast, a video distribution service that offers up-to-the-minute news video to subscribers' smartphones and the Web, said on Tuesday that CNBC, The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, Reuters and AFP are among partners distributing content on its service. Kirkland, Wash.-based 1Cast offers "near real-time" video clips of the latest headlines, personalized to a user's interests and delivered to wireless device.

1Cast Debuts Personalized Video News Clip Service

Kirkland, Wash. - 1Cast on Wednesday launched a private beta version of its consumer news service, intended to provide a range of licensed video news content to online and mobile users via an iPhone application. Users can create personalized news services based on specific topics that gather content from news sources including Reuters, AP, AFP and CNBC.

Video News Aggregation Start-up 1Cast Nabs Funding

Kirkland, Wash. - Online video news aggregation service 1Cast announced on Tuesday that it has raised an undisclosed amount of first round funding, in a round led by Eagle River Holdings.
