Digital Mind Releases 100GB Portable MP3 Player

Carlsbad, Calif. -- Consumer electronics maker Digital Mind on Thursday announced the release of the first 100GB portable MP3 player. The company said the PDA-sized device is capable of storing 25,000 music files -- in MP3 WMA, Ogg Vorbis, WAV and ASF formats -- and can also backup the entire hard drive on a user's computer. The $449 DMC Xclef 500 offers a battery life of 20-plus hours, in addition to direct encoding, voice recording, FM radio recording, and PC and Mac compatibility.
