There will be an Apple special event one week from today, on September 12, at 10:00 AM Pacific (1:00PM Eastern, 5:00PM GMT) at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in downtown San Francisco. "It's Showtime," reads the media invite. According to the blog Engadget and other Internet oracles, chances are that we will finally get to see the introduction of the hyped Apple iPhone, as well learn more about the company's digital media strategy. Maybe we'll get to find out more about how Steve Jobs plan to compete with Microsoft's Media Centre software and related devices (Zune, etc.).
