Report: MySpace Most Popular Site on the Internet

Rupert Murdoch must be very pleased today as MySpace for the first time surpassed Yahoo! Mail as the most visited domain on the Internet in the US. According to new figures from the Research Company Hitwise, MySpace had a market share figure of 4.5% of all US Internet visits for the week ending July 8, an increase in visits of over 4300% over two years and 132% over last year. Note that the flat green line on the graph is Google visits in comparison (!). As of July 11, MySpace reports having over 92 million users.
