New York - Movie rental giant Blockbuster (NYSE: BBI) is in discussions with cell phone makers on how to provide movies that can be viewed on mobile devices, Reuters reported.

Blockbuster CEO James Keyes, speaking at the Reuters Media Summit, said he watches movies on his BlackBerry, after a technician at the company created a way for him to add movies from the Blockbuster-owned Movielink download service to the device via a memory card.

"The challenge is how do I make this convenient for everybody," Keyes said, adding, "We're talking with virtually all of the major manufacturers about the opportunity to provide greater mobility and convenience."
