Is the internet in for a dangerous alliance?

I was covering the recent shooting on Park Avenue South of television's most buzzworthy new show, Gossip Girl, when the crew and several crew members all huddled up and started pointing someone out crossing the street. Going into Houstons with a rather large enterouge was former wrestling guru Paul Heyman. One of his posse was Mitchell Stuart, who is a fast rising star in the digital world due to his brilliant work on Clear Channel's Stripped series. Heyman, who was named one of the Top 100 Marketers in the world in 2000 by Advertising Age magazine, is reportedly free from his contract with the monolithic World Wrestling Entertainment and its meglomaniacal chairman Vince McMahon. The man who revolutionized the way pro wrestling and sports entertainment is presented has obviously set his sights on something new, as Stuart has developed a reputation as somewhat of a visionary in the digital world. Stuart's recent work with such diverse artists as Kanye West, John Legend, Melissa Ethridge, Lionel Ritchie, LL Cool J, not to mention his Z-100 campaigns featuring Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, and Usher for Clear Channel have put his HQ Productions hi-def firm on the map. No word on what the collaboration might be, but having followed ECW from my days back home in Italy, this seems like an exciting team to watch. Enzo Capossela
