San Francisco — Gigex, a provider of video game marketing and free online video game demos, announced on Monday that it has acquired GameDaily, a daily online newsletter covering the video game industry. Financial terms were not disclosed. Simon Tonner, who previously worked at publishers including Ziff Davis, IDG and CMP, has been named publisher of GameDaily, and will oversee sales, marketing and operations. The GameDaily newsletter currently claims 18,000 subscribers.
