Enpocket to Acquire Mobile Content Firm Landmat

London -- Enpocket, a New York-based mobile software firm, announced that it has agreed to acquire Landmat, a provider of mobile media applications. "The new Enpocket will be the only mobile media player with a complete understanding of how mobile community development, content provision and effective marketing work together," said Enpocket CEO Jonathon Linner. Under the terms of the acquisition, Landmat CEO Haukur Hardarson will join Enpocket's board of directors. Landmat provides dating, chat and mobile weblog applications to carriers including Vodafone, Cingular, Verizon, Telefonica, T-Mobile and Singtel. Financial details for the deal have not been disclosed.
