New York -- Rockstar Games, the game publishing label of Take-Two Interactive responsible for the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise, on Tuesday announced details for an 8-CD box set to accompany its recently released "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" game. As the game is set in the early 1990's, many of the CDs will feature tracks from the era, as well as DJ dialogue and satirical commercials found in the game. Artists featured include 2 Pac, Public Enemy, Bell Biv DeVoe, Willie Nelson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Soundgarden and Faith No More. The company partnered with Interscope Records to release the box set in Europe on Dec. 6, and in the U.S. on Dec. 7.
