Dulles, Va. -- America Online on Wednesday announced that it has integrated access to the Web's podcast content at a new portal. The company has launched its "Podcasting 101," which lets visitors subscribe to an assortment of popular podcasts. In addition, AOL Radio has launched a new station featuring a non-stop stream of podcasts, both from AOL and partners such as NPR flagship station KCRW, CNN, BBC and Gamespot.com. AOL's Winamp 5.1 media player now includes a new podcast directory, which allows users to download and subscribe to hundreds of podcasts. AOL also said that it plans to add enhanced podcast search abilities to its AOL Search tool this fall, through the integration of TVEyes' Podscope search engine. Separately, the AOL's RED service for teenagers announced the launch of a new online reality TV show, which will feature six college freshmen documenting their experiences, using a camcorder and daily blog. "Project Freshman," produced by 2C Media, will offer new episodes every Thursday.
