Park City, Utah - Organizers of the 2006 Sundance Film Festival Online said on Friday that during the first week of the festival, an estimated 700,000 viewers watched festival videos on the Internet -- nearly twice as many as had at this point last year. Some of the traffic was generated by an extended interview with former Vice President Al Gore at the festival that was posted to the site.
