Ruckus Launches Ad-Supported Free Version of Campus Download Service
Herndon, Va. - Ruckus, a provider of campus media download services, announced on Monday that it has launched a new version of its service that offers students free access to its library of 1.5 million songs. In exchange for agreeing to receive advertising, the service's normal subscription fee will be waived for students; for an additional low subscription rate, access to movie and TV show downloads can be added. Virginia-based Ruckus offers its services to over 400,000 students at schools including USC, ASU and the University of Minnesota.
