Mountain View, Calif. - Presto Services, a developer of technology that will let consumers without computers or Internet access share digital content, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $10 million in its first round of venture capital financing. The investment round was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Clearstone Venture Partners. Mountain View, Calif.-based Presto has partnered with HP to create a device and complementary service that lets non-tech-savvy consumers receive photos, e-mail and other digital content without a computer. The company said the HP "printing mailbox" is designed for the country's 78 million baby boomers and their parents, and the 50 million American adults who don't use computers or have access to the Internet. Presto expects to introduce its debut offering in the fall of 2006.
