Germantown, Md. - Telkonet, a provider of in-building broadband access over existing electrical wiring, said on Tuesday that it has begun testing its NuVisions Internet television (IPTV) service in New York City. The service delivers traditional cable TV programming, and also allows subscribers to surf the Internet, receive on-demand content and perform a host of Internet-based functions through their TVs. NuVisions is a part of New Jersey-based communications technology firm Microwave Satellite Technologies (MST)., which Telkonet acquired for $10 million in February.
