Herndon, Va. - Internet search giant Google on Thursday launched a new search tool designed to help users more easily find government information and news. The company said that the tool -- called Google U.S. Government Search -- will search through official federal, state and local government sites from a single search box. The site also will feature constantly updated news content from government and commercial news sources, including the White House, Department of Defense, and The Washington Post. Google currently has several hundred government clients for its search and geospatial products. The company also said that it has added Mike Bradshaw as its head of federal sales. Bradshaw, who has more than 20 years experience selling technology to federal agencies, will be located in Google's office in Herndon.
