San Jose, Calif. - Immersion Corporation, a developer of touch feedback technology used in video game console controllers and other applications, on Monday introduced a new version of its TouchSense vibration technology for next-generation video game consoles. The new release supports a wider range of vibration effects and backwards compatibility for vibration effects in current games. San Jose, Calif.-based Immersion said "vibrations can now be crisper, shorter in duration, more closely spaced, more in sync with onscreen events, simultaneous, and both stronger and more subtle to supply a new level of realism."
