Digimarc Licenses Digital Watermarking for "Analog Hole" Solution

Beaverton, Ore. - Digimarc, a developer of digital watermarking technology for the protection and tracking of digital media, announced on Wednesday that it has licensed its technology to a firm developing a solution under consideration by Congress to help plug the "analog hole." VCP, a unit of VEIL Interactive, has incorporated Digimarc technology into its "rights assertion mark," which can protect digital video content converted to analog for viewing in homes from being "re-digitized" and redistributed.
