Washington Post: Amateur Fight Videos Proliferating OnlineAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on June 22, 2006 - 4:22pm.
Washington - The Washington Post on Thursday reported on the proliferation of amateur fight videos on the Internet -- mainly on video-sharing sites like YouTube and Google Video -- which feature anything from Russian gang street brawls to amateur "fight clubs" to schoolyard scuffles. In most cases, it is a felony to fight in public, and several sites selling DVDs of fights captured with camcorders or camera cell phones have been shut down. Neither Google Video nor YouTube has specific regulations against posting fight videos, but Google said it will flag videos where those featured are "hurt or killed," while YouTube allows its users to police its library of videos.
