Sirius Counts 1 Million Playboy Radio Subscribers; Signs Barbara Walters
New York - Sirius Satellite Radio, a provider of subscription radio programming with 4 million subscribers, announced on Monday that its opt-in Playboy Radio channel has amassed more than one million subscribers since launching in March. The channel features a range of talk shows and personalities from Playboy magazine, and the company's website and TV properties. Separately, New York-based Sirius said it has signed Barbara Walters to host a periodic new show on the service. Walters' interviews over the past 30 years will also be featured in a weekly program, "Best of the Very Best," which will debut in 2007.
