Mobliss Names Former Nintendo Exec Jim Merrick as President & CEO

Seattle - Mobliss, a unit of Japan's Index Corporation that provides mobile media and marketing services, announced on Tuesday that it has named former Nintendo Europe senior vice president of marketing Jim Merrick as its new president and CEO. Merrick recently helped to launch the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service and Nintendo DS handheld. Seattle-based Mobliss created the text-message voting application for "American Idol," and counts Coca-Cola, USA Networks and Nike among its customers.
