Director, Internet Services - NBA - China

The National Basketball Association (NBA) is looking for a seasoned Director to develop and manage new business partnerships with the interactive services companies in China. An ideal candidate will be a creative and entrepreneurial self-starter with a strong understanding of interactive media technologies – including wireless. Internet/broadband, and gaming.

Major Responsibilities:

• Initiate new business development for interactive content licensing and strategic partnerships

• Manage the development of interactive content portfolio

• Track interactive advertising and product trends, research new technologies and competitive content properties to ensure cutting edge deployments

• Develop new platforms and explore incremental revenue channels

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Business fluency in speaking, reading and writing Chinese Mandarin and English

• Familiar with broad wireless/telecom/media industry landscape

• Understanding of web metrics and reporting methods

• Experience in interactive-based advertising

• Self starter with excellent problem solving skill and ability to multi-task

• Strong written and oral communication skills

Experience Needed:

• 6 – 8 years of total business experience in wireless/telecom/media industries, with a minimum of 3 years wireless industry experience

• Proven record of success

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

• Experience in managing multiple clients, vendors, or accounts preferred
Educational Background Required:

• BA/BS required. MBA or other advanced degree preferred
