Gold's Gym Deploys Powergrid Video Game Fitness Systems
Laurel, Md. - Powergrid Fitness, a developer of exercise-based video game systems, announced this week that Gold's Gym has begun deploying its Kilowatt video game/fitness systems in its facilities. The device features a handlebar-type controller, backrest and foot pad that translate force applied to in-game action on a standard Xbox, PlayStation 2 or GameCube video game console. Maryland-based Powergrid said the Kilowatt can burn up to 350 calories per hour.
