Applian Changes Name, Adds Features to Slingbox-Recording Application

San Anselmo, Calif. - Applian Technologies said on Tuesday that it has changed the name of its PC software that can capture TV programs viewed away from the home through Sling Media's Slingbox device, in order to avoid trademark confusion in the marketplace. Applian's Replay SlingCorder is now called the Replay At-Large Recorder. Applian said it also added the functionality of its Replay A/V product to the At-Large Recorder, enabling users to record XM and Sirius radio, among other content.
