Obopay, Amp'd Mobile Team on Mobile Payments Service
Redwood City, Calif. - Obopay, a developer of mobile commerce services, announced on Wednesday that youth-focused mobile virtual network operator Amp'd Mobile will deploy its mobile payment systems to its subscribers in the U.S. Redwood City, Calif.-based Obopay's application will allow Amp'd subscribers to receive, send and spend money using their mobile phones. The company has also developed technology that will eventually allow Amp'd subscribers to make purchases from online retailers by entering their mobile phone number and a passcode.
