Congressional Quarterly Acquires Political Money Line

Washington - Congressional Quarterly, the Washington-based provider of news and analysis on politics and public policy issues, said on Tuesday that it has acquired Political Money Line, an independent source of Web-based campaign finance information, for an undisclosed sum. CQ also has entered into a long-term contract with Political Money Line founders Kent Cooper and Tony Raymond, who will maintain the company's databases and searches. Formed in 1995, Political Money Line is a provider of web-based tools designed to make sense of candidate and donor filings and disclosure forms.
