Toronto - IMAX Corporation on Monday announced plans to expand its large-screen theaters into Russia, through an agreement with Rising Star Media, a joint venture between National Amusements and Soquel Ventures. The first Russian IMAX is expected to open in St. Petersburg in July 2007, with a total of six theaters planned by 2008.
