Seattle - Mobliss, a unit of Index Group that provides mobile content delivery technology and publishes mobile entertainment content, announced on Tuesday that it has raised an undisclosed sum of new capital, from an investment created through a partnership of Japanese holding companies. Seattle-based Mobliss powers the SMS voting function for Fox's "American Idol," and has developed mobile game titles including "Family Feud" and "New York Times Crossword." Index said the funds will be used to increase distribution of its intellectual properties across emerging platforms, including content from partners like toymaker TOMY and animation studio Tatsunoko Productions.
