Electronic Announces Development of "The Sims 2 Pets," LOTR Expansion
Redwood City, Calif. - Electronic Arts on Thursday announced plans for "The Sims 2 Pets," an expansion pack for its PC game that will also be released for current generation console and handheld platforms. The game will allow players' Sims characters to design their own pets, which must be cared for, and can be taught to learn tricks. Separately, EA announced an expansion pack for its "The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-earth II" PC game. "The Rise of the Witch-king" will contain new content from J.R.R. Tolkien's original fiction, and is currently in development at EA Los Angeles for release in the fall.
