Microsoft is Most Visited Web Property in June; Yahoo and Google FollowAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on August 14, 2006 - 2:21pm.
Reston, Va. - Microsoft topped the list of the most visited global web properties in June, according to new figures from Internet research firm comScore Networks. Microsoft-owned sites drew approximately 500 million visitors, followed by Sunnyvale-based Yahoo (481 million) and Mountain View-based Google (454 million). Each company drew about 200 million more visitors than the next closest web property. While the established Internet players grabbed the top spots in the worldwide rankings, however, comScore said that several upstarts have quickly found their way into the top 15 properties. Wikipedia ranked eighth on a worldwide basis, while MySpace ranked 15th.
