Charter Debuts ResearchChannel VOD Service
St. Louis - Cable TV provider Charter Communications announced on Tuesday that it has launched the ResearchChannel video-on-demand service for its subscribers. Johns Hopkins University, the University of Washington and Howard Hughes Medical Institute are among the institutions whose programming will be offered on the channel. Initial programs include the University of Virginia's "Faith, Certainty, and the Presidency of George W. Bush," a documentary by journalist Ron Suskind, and USC's "A Conversation with Walter Cronkite."
