Korean MP3 Player Software Adds Synchronized Lyrics

Seoul -- Korean software developer ESTsoft on Wednesday introduced its ALSong live lyrics MP3 player PC software. The application allows users to view synchronized lyrics to over 1 million songs as they listen. The company did not mention having secured licenses from major music publishers for the rights to publish a lyrics database. Gracenote, which provides CD and digital music track information to services including iTunes, recently signed such licensing deals with publishers and plans to launch a lyrics database service later this year.
