Future of Music Coalition Offers Free Health Insurance Advice to MusiciansAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on August 23, 2006 - 1:07pm.
Washington - The Future of Music Coalition, a Washington-based non-profit that represents the interests of artists in the digital music realm, on Wednesday introduced an online health insurance guidance program for musicians. The Health Insurance Navigation Tool (HINT) will help musicians -- who have unique situations like fluctuating income due to month-to-month varying performance schedules -- to navigate plans and locate regional organizations online. The service will also offer free, confidential 30-minute phone consultations with health insurance experts. The Future of Music Coalition said HINT was made possible by a grant from the Nathan Cummings Foundation.
