San Francisco - Nearly 13.5 million mobile subscribers downloaded a game during the most recent quarter, an increase of 15% from the third quarter of last year, according to a report from market research firm Telephia. During that same period, monthly revenue jumped 63%. "In less than a year, average monthly mobile game revenues have increased by nearly two-thirds," said Kanishka Agarwal, the vice president of new products at Telephia. "Backed by an increasingly growing audience, both big gaming brands and new upstarts have taken a slice of that revenue pie." Top games last quarter in terms of revenue share were "Tetris" by EA Mobile, "Pac-Man" by Namco and "Bejeweled" by EA Mobile.
