Rockworks Online Battle of the Bands to Benefit Gulf Coast Hurricane Victims

Los Angeles - Rockworks Foundation, a Gulf Coast construction charity, announced on Wednesday the launch of an online battle of the bands that will raise funds for its mission to rebuild the community of Forest Heights, Mississippi. The Rockworks Showcase -- the official charity of the 2006 CMJ Music Marathon -- lets bands upload songs for streaming on an online radio network. Fans are asked to donate at least $1 to vote on their favorite bands, with four finalists given the opportunity to perform live at the CMJ Music Marathon.
