Sprint Launches Mobile Radio Service, Buy Two Get One Free Downloads

Overland Park, Kan. - Wireless carrier Sprint on Thursday announced the launch of Sprint Radio, a service that will offer over 50 channels of streaming radio and video from partners including NPR, ESPN and Radio Disney. The $5.95 per month service will be powered by technology from Palo Alto, Calif.-based mSpot. The company also launched several features for its Sprint Music Store, a mobile music download service powered by Massachusetts-based Groove Mobile. Customers can now receive mobile music recommendations based on past purchases, and for a limited time, will receive one free song with every two purchased from the mobile store.
