New York - Digital music service eMusic announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with classical music distributor Naxos of America to develop a series of downloadable classical music collections, which will also be packaged and sold as digital box sets at Borders stores nationwide. Installments of the MPkey series ("Very Best of Classical Guitar," "Cinema Classics," "The Complete Symphonies of Beethoven") will be sold as either three-hour ($14.99) or six-hour ($19.99) compilations, and will include booklets featuring details on the music and composers. The first twelve MPkey releases will be sold exclusively at borders through Dec. 1.
