Reston, Va. - Traffic to online classifieds sites such as Craigslist has grown 47% in the past year, according to new figures from comScore Media Metrix. More than 37 million Web users -- or more than a fifth of the total Internet population -- visited the sites in July. Craigslist led the way, attracting nearly 14 million visitors, about twice as many as a year ago. Trader Publishing Company ranked second with 10.2 million visitors, while AutoTrader ranked third with 6.4 million visitors. "While online classifieds are not new, it appears that Internet users are really beginning to catch on to this phenomenon," said Andrew Lipsman, a senior analyst at comScore Networks.
