Amp'd Mobile Claims 50,000 Subscribers

Los Angeles - Amp'd Mobile, a virtual mobile network operator targeting the youth and young professionals markets, announced on Monday that it added nearly 15,000 subscribers last month, and now claims nearly 50,000 subscribers. The company expects to add 20,000 to 25,000 new subscribers in September, and projects that it will count 150,000 by the end of the year. Los Angeles-based Amp'd also expects to deliver a total of more than 1 million video streams and downloads to its subscribers during 2006.
