Stratacache Releases OmniCast Digital Cinema Distribution System
Dayton, Ohio - Stratacache on Tuesday introduced its OmniCast content distribution system for digital cinema. The technology can transmit digital film files from a single source to hundreds or thousands of theaters simultaneously at high speed. Ohio-based Stratacache said OmniCast has been proven to multicast 300GB video files in excess of 100Mbps on low-cost Intel servers.
