New Motion, Inc. is one of the fastest growing direct-to-consumer mobile entertainment companies in the U.S.  The Product Manager will be responsibility for developing and managing the product offerings in a specific channel (e.g. Sports, Entertainment, Lifestyle, etc).  This position is geared towards individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset and the desire to run their own show. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to create a business strategy, clearly illustrate that strategy to upper management, and then execute on the plan. This individual will also be an integral part and interface with other departments within the organization to create the end-product marketed and sold to consumers. When applicable, this individual will be client facing, working with Intellectual Property owners on a day-to-day basis and evangelizing the brand/product internally.

Position Overview

Essential Job Functions
  • Responsible for product schedule and budget as it affects the product P/L.
  • Responsible for getting product out on schedule.
  • Lead product ideation and creation process. Manage workflow and project management for different teams of graphic artists, programmers, QA testers, and product marketing team.
  • Create wireless service level packaging, pricing and value propositions for target markets.
  • Competitive analysis.
  • New idea and content generation within the product vertical.
  • Negotiate third party distribution deals for products under supervision within product vertical.
  • Monitor key metrics of partner programs and implement methods of improving revenue and streamlining each business.
Qualifications
The Product Manager is a key player in managing the success of our products and will have the ability to significantly influence the success of the greater organization. A thorough understanding of the wireless industry, consumer trends, entertainment, sports and lifestyle products, or some combination, is important. Previous account or business unit management experience as well as online experience is desirable.

Other Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 2 years as key contact directly managing programs
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Superior communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Superior business judgment, and problem solving capability
  • Strong background in account management
  • Exceptional understanding of business processes and product profitability
  • Experience with product development, sales or marketing and online desirable
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Some travel is required
Compensation
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and achievement.
