Introducing The iPod Movie TheatreAuthored by Jay Baage on October 17, 2006 - 10:35am.
One cool thing I found when surfing the blogosphere this week is a pocket sized video projector that you can bring with you on the road and hook up to your video iPod. The little projector is made by Toshiba and weighs just 1.1 pounds (model TDP-FF1AU). Moreover, it runs on batteries, so you don’t need any messy cords or go on a scavenger hunt for an electrical outlet. Priced at US $699, it includes a remote control and a folding screen. Sure, I can see some useful areas for this digital lifestyle gadget, but unlike headphones, I don’t see anyone hooking up the projector to their iPod on the subway to get the same visual experience. On second thought, why not? This way, everyone, anywhere, can now be a movie theatre operator. Watch out AMC and Loews!
