Atlanta - Time Warner's Turner Broadcasting on Tuesday announced plans to launch a new broadband comedy network, Super Deluxe, in January 2007.
The ad-supported network will feature a combination of "television-quality" original comedy programming from both established and rising comedians, such as short films, sketch comedies and episodic series, as well as online community tools. Turner said it will offer Super Deluxe programming to cable TV video-on-demand services, wireless devices and personal media players. The company, which operates other broadband networks such as CNN Pipeline and GameTap, named Drew Reifenberger to serve as senior vice president and general manager of Super Deluxe.
